Graduation ceremony
On Saturday 19 March 2016, 400 young ESIGELEC engineers from the class of 2015 received their degrees. The event was sponsored by Sopra Steria, a European leader in digital transformation. The group maintains close links with the school.

Etienne CRAYE takes over as President of CESAR
CESAR, the Rouen Conurbation Higher Education Conference, has a new President. Christine DISPA, Director of the Northwest CESI, is stepping down at the end of her 2 year term of office and will be succeeded by ESIGELEC Managing Director Etienne CRAYE.
ESIGELEC joins UGEI
On 1 January 2016, ESIGELEC became a member of UGEI (Union of Independent Grandes Écoles). UGEI is one of the two major Higher Education and Research federations.

New ways of recruiting students for DUT and BTS courses
New for 2016: prospective students for DUT and BTS courses in ICT, networks and digital technology (*) will now be recruited directly by ESIGELEC, following the submission of an application and interviews.
ADAPT meets Silver Economy
IRSEEM, ESIGELEC’s research institute, has begun the process of registering for the new European programme, INTERREG V. Since the end of projects financed in the previous phase, research teams have continued their work on COALAS through ADAPT, whose first phase has been approved.
Home stretch, as VIKINGS gear up for 2nd round of ARGOS Challenge
After a spectacular success in the first round, the VIKINGS team from ESIGELEC-IRSEEM and Sominex has been working round the clock. They have been preparing for several months for the second stage of the international robotics competition, ARGOS, organised by Total, in partnership with ANR.
Elles bougent pour l’Energie en Normandie forum
On Thursday 24 March, at the initiative of the Elles bougent organisation and in partnership with Energie Normandie, ESIGELEC played host to female secondary school students for an afternoon of discussions and presentations.
10th Ingénieure/ingénieur, pourquoi pas toi? conference
On 8 March, CESI, ESIGELEC, ESITech, Esitpa, and INSA Rouen, in partnership with the Education Authority, ONISEP, the Regional Directorate for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality and the “Elles bougent” organisation, held a lecture and discussion session to promote engineering as a career for women.
ESIG'TRONIX launches the 1st inter-university drone race
On 28 May, we will be playing host to drones from engineering schools and universities for the first indoor drones race.

ESIGELEC has new international partners
With the signing of four new agreements, ESIGELEC continues to extend its international relations with partners across the globe. Exchange opportunities for students and faculty of ESIGELEC are now available in Africa, Asia, America and Europe.
ESIGELEC signs a new agreement with Manipal University, India
Pioneers in Franco-Indian academic cooperation by way of its dual-degree programmes initiated in 2009, ESIGELEC and Manipal University, India, signed a new agreement on Monday, March the 7th 2016, for students of ESIGELEC to do an academic exchange semester in India, as part of the engineering curriculum.
ESIGELEC team on the podium at NI Days fair
ESIGELEC took part in the robotics Challenge of the NI Days fair for the fifth consecutive year on March 10th. A student team ran in the RIO Cup, dedicated to Universities and Engineering schools, while a teacher-researcher presented his work in robotics on a stand.

ESIGELEC is organising a Work Placement Fair on 12 May at the CISE, the Embedded Systems Integration Campus. The Work Placement Fair is a pre-recruitment day for businesses and students who are interested in taking up an Apprenticeship or Professional Training Contract.
Business contacts day
Graduates from a number of different companies such as ALTRAN Technologies, DRESSER RAND, EDF DSEI, EPARGNE Pluriel, EXPRIMEO and SOPRA Banking Software met and shared their experiences with 3rd year students.
Business tribes launch
With a network of 7,700 practising engineers, the Société des Ingénieurs en Génie ELECtrique (the ESIGELEC and ESA-IGELEC alumni association) has decided to increase its effectiveness by establishing ’tribes’ of graduates in the companies where it is well represented.
