PIC and PING Competition on Sustainable Development

As part of Sustainable Development Week, ESIG'GREEN organised an open PIC (Initiative and Creativity Project) and PING (Engineering Project) competition on 3rd May related to sustainable development.

Its aim was to reward and highlight projects by ESIGELEC students working towards building a greener future for the environment and mankind.

Seven projects entered the competition (4 PIC and 3 PING), thereby bringing together around fifteen of the school’s students. The projects were assessed on their innovation, relevance and presentation. Each group also had to create a display and show the materials and equipment used during their project.

The competition prize-winners are:

  • 1st prize: "Developing bodies of water", PING on the feasibility study for the installation of photovoltaic panels on a body of water, represented by Alix Riedel and Théarin Auriol.

  • 2nd prize: "All united in diversity", PIC on combating prejudice, fostering tolerance by promoting cultural diversity and intergenerational solidarity, led by Alexandre Lami and Barka Gueye.

  • 3rd prize: "My Earth and me", PIC on awareness of the protection of the environment and using recycled materials, led by Krystel Bapte and Edouard Enault.

Other projects taking part in the competition:

  • Sustainable electrification in Madagascar, PING, by Jean Damien Salobir and Sébastien Dietrich

  • Electric vehicle simulator for energy consumption, PING, by Grégoire Milliard and François Gibeaux

  • ESIG’étais écolo (ESIG was green), PIC, by Marie Cumba

  • The future in our hands, PIC, by Mariame Fofana and Tanguy Hector
