From 25 September to 5 October 2016, 39 Chinese lower-sixth students in the ESIGELEC Joint Adaptation Course at the Guangming Lycée in Shanghai, together with four of their teachers, and the coordinator of the ESIGELEC Representation Office in China, were welcomed to ESIGELEC in Rouen, and to other partner schools in France.
During this introductory seminar, the Chinese students took lessons in mathematics, physics and French, carried out practical work in electronics, and made cultural and industrial visits.
The young Chinese students had the chance to discover ESIGELEC, partner schools, life in France, teaching methods, to practise the French language, the opportunities available in the local industrial environment, as well as a small part of the riches of France in terms of culture and tourism.
The seminar is part of a cooperation agreement signed in 2011 by ESIGELEC and the Guangming Lycée in Shanghai. It is part of a partnership with the resolute aim of providing support for the young students in their last three years at secondary school, in French, French learning approaches and general culture, in order to prepare them for beginning the "Grande Ecole" engineering programme at ESIGELEC or one of the programmes at the partner schools in France.
ESIGELEC wishes a warm welcome to these young students, who are taking part in a programme of excellence that is unique in the field of Franco-Chinese cooperation!
