ESIGELEC students attend the Motor Show with "Elles bougent"

A dozen ESIGELEC students attended the Motor Show with the "Elles Bougent" association on October 4th at the Parc des Expositions de Versailles. The budding engineers visited partner stands and met women working as engineers and technicians. They took part in a quiz at the end of the day and the winning team won a prize worth 60 EUR and a group coaching session on the subject of "Personal Leadership and Professional Project."

As part of "Elles bougent", students face groups from other schools in a competition called "The Car of 2050". They will have to think about the car’s evolution in terms of environment, safety, comfort, network and design and present their innovative and creative vision of the cars of the future. The competition began on October 4th to coincide with the Motor Show and will end on December 21st 2012. There are lots of prizes to win including a Smartbox "track day" donated by Alten and a driving lesson from Valeo. The award ceremony will be held during the Week of Industry in March 2013 in Paris.

The "Elles bougent" association was founded in 2005 to give women greater access to male-dominated professions by organising activities to present careers in the industrial and technological sectors: automobile, aeronautics, energy, railway, IT etc.
