ESIGELEC had a real boost when students came “back to school” with no less than 153 young people in the 1st year of the International Integrated Preparatory Programme (CPII) and 461 in the 1st year of the Engineering Programme.
ESIGELEC welcomed a full class in September when no less than 153 CPII students (International Integrated Preparatory Programme) and 461 in the 1st year of the Engineering Programme began their term.
Having recently passed the S and STI Baccalaureate, CPII students are taking two years of preparatory classes before joining the Engineering Programme. 50% of them are from Normandy, 14% from Ile-de-France, 12% from other French regions and 24% are from abroad, especially China (24 out of 35 students), Latin America, North Africa and Central Africa.
As for the 1st year of the Engineering Programme, 30% are international students. There are students from over 34 countries on the Engineering Programme!
Among the 461 1st year students, 30% come from the CPII, 36% from CPGE (preparatory classes) from colleges all over France, 23% from joint international preparatory programmes and 11% from DUT (university technical diploma) or BTS (equivalent of British HND).
This year 20% of the International Integrated Preparatory Programme’s students are female whilst ladies account for an incredible quarter of all 1st year students on the Engineering Programme !
