A recent Management project in India and China has strengthened ESIGELEC’s position in Asia. The significant growth in these two countries, namely in the technological innovation of the school’s subjects, make them key current and future strategic areas. ESIGELEC has a strong and recognised position here due to the numerous agreements drawn up by the International Relations and Programmes Department and the work of seconded staff in the representative offices in Shanghai and Bangalore.
The new agreements relate to different types of programmes to broaden the range of training available to Chinese and Indian students: two preparatory programmes and two Masters programmes in science and technology.
In China, there is an ESIGELEC class for first, second and final year students at the GuangMing College in Shanghai to take intensive French classes in addition to their study programme. In India, a 2-year preparatory course will be available at Manipal University. These preparatory programmes will provide Chinese and Indian college students with the best environment to take the ESIGELEC Engineering Programme after college or after a 2-year preparatory course.
A joint IT Masters Programme in English over 4 semesters will soon be available at Chitkara University in India. An Embedded Electronic Systems Masters Programme over 5 semesters will soon be available at Shanghai USST (the same as the one that has been taught at Manipal University for the last year). These Masters Programmes will each include a 2-semester course at ESIGELEC.
ESIGELEC has been invited to join the R&D India work group, run by the Embassy, as the only engineering school alongside approximately fifteen major French companies.
Currently ESIGELEC has 90 partner universities in 40 countries worldwide with China (15 agreements) and India (6 agreements) leading the way.
